Now that everyone from young teens to babyboomers have access to the internet, and phones with internet capabilities.

You have no choice but to put your business on the internet. Social Media has grown a lot since the hay days of AOL chat rooms and sites like tribe and friendster in 2002. Myspace launched in 2003, and dominated the social networking space. Now these days, it seems there are endless choices for a social networking site to call your social community; and or virtual home.

Verizon Wireless and Data Plans

Why is it that you cannot use a black berry with Verizon unless you have a data plan. I mean I get it. There is no reason to have a bb if you are not using it for email or web.

What if you just need to use a phone for an emergency etc? Come on now, forcing people to pay for a data plan. It just really peeves me is all. Let me know your thoughts on this ramble.

Black Friday 2009 – ThanksGiving meets advertising

With thanksgiving just a day away. What are advertisers and marketers doing to prepare for black Friday? Has anyone seen any interesting ads they would like to share?

I came across this site this morning. Black Friday Ads Check it out when you get a chance. It’s amazing how hectic this day can be. People standing in long lines in the cold early morning of Black Friday.

Driving past target, you would think The Doors were having a reunion concert with the Rolling Stones . Let me know your thoughts on this post and feel free to ask me any questions that come to mind.

As always,

This is very original, and i see alot more of this happening in 2009. What are everyone’s thoughts on this one? The link is below for you to check out.

Your thoughts on Online advertising?

I want to ask everyone out there from a consumer point of view. What are the pros and cons of the online advertisements you see out there today? Do you prefer email versus banner. Do you find sites that offer incentives like a free Ipod deliver relevant ads to you as the consumer?

Feel free to give me your thoughts on this. With this day and age, technology is getting better and better everyday. Companies are able to behavioral target to consumers with greater accuracy. Do you find that creepy? I do at times myself. =)

Bring it on.

Online Lead Generation and Coregistration

I work in this space, and would really like to get an idea of everyones thoughts on the subject. Coreg tends to get a bad rep, and I have a good understanding on why.

I would love to get feed back from those that have tried it in the past or have been thinking about trying it sometime soon or in the future for their business.

Bring it on. =)

Best,

Chris Cottle
